RULES & REGULATIONS OF PNB METLIFE
JUNIOR BADMINTON CHAMPIONSHIP 3, 2017

One person can enter only in 2 categories in only 1 city. Money for any additional categories will not
be refunded and the entry for additional categories will stand cancelled.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

Players of any School/College/Academy/Club from India are eligible for participation in the Singles Event of the JUNIOR BADMINTON CHAMPIONSHIP 3, provided he/she fulfils the mentioned age eligibility criteria (Cut-Off Dates), as per mentioned norms.
Any players/participants staying overseas can also play this tournament provided they have Indian nationality.

RULES

Only entries submitted with the mentioned entry fee will be accepted. No entry will be accepted via phone calls/SMS. Registration will be confirmed once online entry form is filled up thoroughly and deposited along with the entry fees. The entry fee for each category (SINGLES-BOYS/GIRLS) is INR 500/-. No Name will be displayed in the final M & Q or Draw/Fixture without the registration fees.
Organizing committee/organiser/institution/sponsor shall not be held responsible by any means, for any kind of minor or major injury sustained, or event/incident by the player(s) during the game on or off the court. During the course of the event, the organizer/sponsors and its associates would not be responsible for any type of accident or loss of life. However, first aid facility will be available at the venue.
All eight leg of tournaments in different eight cities will be organized in the month of April-June 2017. Proposed dates of the tournaments city wise would be as follows (Delhi - 3 to 7 April, Chandigarh - 10 to 13 April, Indore – 17 to 20 April, Mumbai – 24 to 28 April, Bangalore – 3 to 6 May, Hyderabad – 10 to 13 May, Guwahati – 22 to 25 May, Lucknow – 30 May to 1 June. GRAND FINALE TO TAKE PLACE IN THE MONTH OF JUNE IN DELHI-NCR. DATE FOR THE SAME WOULD BE ANNOUNCED SOON.
Registration can be stopped at any time without prior notice. Limited entries are being taken and registration is being done on first come first serve basis. Entries can be sent at (www.jbc3.in). All the players/participants must send their entries along with entry fees on or before the cut off dates as mentioned on the site (www.jbc3.in).
No off line entries would be entertained by any individual, group, school, college, academy etc. Sara foundation will not be responsible for any such off line entries and the same would not be considered as valid entry/entries. Only sara foundation and its authorized associates can take off line entries (if situation demands).
The decision of the tournament committee will be final and binding on all matters related to the tournament. Any protest regarding decision of the umpire will not be entertained during the match. Such protest/request can be referred to Chief Referee. Request for line judges from round one cannot be entertained. Line judges can be provided (On request) from Quarter Final onwards.
The organising committee reserves the right to cancel any entry without assigning any reason thereof. Registration including online registration fees, once done, will not be refunded in case event takes place.
The organising committee reserves the right to cancel/postpone the event if sufficient entries are not received or sufficient time is not available to complete the event or any situation which is beyond the control of the organiser.
The organiser of the event reserves the right, if circumstances so demand, to make modification(s) in the date and venue of the event to extend, postpone or cancel it entirely. However, if the tournament is completely cancelled due to reasons beyond the control of the organiser, the registration fees will be refunded after deducting the expenses (online transaction charges) already incurred, if any.
All participants and parents are expected to maintain ideal atmosphere for carrying out the tournament. They are also expected to maintain cleanliness at the venue.
There will be a non-refundable protest fee of 1,000/- (one thousand only), if any player wants to protest against the age of any participating player. The organizer, its sponsor and associates stand indemnified in respect of any such protest related to over age issue. Demand of on the spot medical (Protest related) will not be entertained, if made by any protesting player/parent during or before the match. Age of the participating player will be determined by the valid date of birth proof certificate they would carry. However, it is made clear that protesting/protested player has to play the scheduled match.
Draws will be held two days before the proposed dates of the tournaments. . It is compulsory for all players to get their receipts signed by the organising secretary before the starting of the scheduled match. Entries without registration fees will not be displayed in the draw.
Complete draws and fixtures will be displayed at www.tournamentsoftware.com or www.jbc3.in and also on the notice board at the venue to be confirmed soon to all participants.
The players/participants should report to the venue 30 minutes before the starting of the match. All matches will be played according to the scheduled time displayed on the notice board at the venue. Walkover will be given in case the player does not report at the scheduled time.
In the event of any dispute or difference arising out of or in any way relating to or concerning all these events, the same shall be referred to the organizing secretary of the tournament for arbitration. The decision of the organising secretary shall be final and binding on the parties to these events. All disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of Delhi Courts only and exclusively.

TOURNAMENT FORMAT

Players/participants are restricted to play in maximum two (2) categories (as per the mentioned age category) in this proposed event.
There will be under 09, 11, 13, 15, 17 Singles (Boys/Girls) category based events. No doubles category to be played in this event.
All matches (Singles Event) will be played on the knockout basis. All players to be consulted by the match referee about the points format/time before the beginning of the match.
The players must be prepared to play more than one/two match(es) a day, during the event. Feather shuttlecocks will be used. All participating players would adhere to dressing code.
If, due to any reason any player/participant is not able to go for participation in his/her respective City, then he/she can participate in any one of the other Eight (8)City Tournaments. One player can only play in one City. First preference for registration will be given to the particular City/Zone Player.
In case any of the Top Selected (4) players from each of the 8 cities under 4 zones in the mentioned category is not able to come for the finals in New Delhi, he/she may be replaced with any other participant as a Wild Card entry by the organising committee. There will be no registration fees for selected national participants.
In case any of the Top Selected (4) players from each of the 8 cities under 4 zones in the mentioned category is not able to come for the finals in New Delhi, he/she may be replaceA player can play in only one city tournament. If someone has played Delhi leg of tournament, he or she cannot play in any other leg of tournament except the Grand Finale (If selected). Player found playing more than one leg of the tournament will be debarred from the entire tournament without giving any reason. No request in this regard would be entertainedd with any other participant as a Wild Card entry by the organising committee. There will be no registration fees for selected national participants.
