Rituals to Boost your Health and Immune System


None of us appreciates being sick constantly – moreover who has time for a sick day? The strengthening of our immune system is one ways to stay free of health problems. Incorporating simple habits in our daily routine can already enhance our immune system greatly.
Immunity Boosting Foods
Kick-starting your metabolism in the morning, breakfast should be a priority. Missing it weakens your immune system, creating a calorie deficit. This will result in making you eat more, especially post sunset.
The intake of the below listed foods will sneak immunity boosting power into your system:
  1. Citrus fruits like oranges, watermelon, and muskmelon
  2. Iron-rich foods like spinach, kale, broccoli, bell peppers, sprouts, and dates
  3. Seeds like pumpkin, sunflower, sesame, and flax seeds
  4. Dry fruits like almonds, hazelnut, raisins, and walnuts
  5. Eating seasonal fruits and vegetables rather than those year-round available ones – as the former are fresher
  6. Eat a daily ration of yoghurt, which possesses medicinal properties that help boosting your the immune system drastically
Hydration is Key
A daily minimum of eight to ten glasses is recommended. Replenishing your body in the early morning with normal, lukewarm or hot water will increase your metabolism, keeping you also hydrated. Not only will the brain receive a boost, but the day will start on a positive note as well. 
Keeping away from cold water helps, as it’s not effective in breaking down the food in the stomach and is devoid of many minerals that are essential for keeping the digestive tract healthy.
Human Body is for Exercising
A stationary vehicle starts exhibiting problems – so does the human body. Our bodies are created for physical activity. You don’t have to be a gym freak to be fit. All it takes is 30-45 minutes of daily exercise, such as a brisk walk, to release those good healthy hormones and be in shape. 
Pumping Oxygen
Most of us are unaware of our shallow breathing that leads to increased stress and blood levels. Setting aside 15 minutes for meditation will keep you calm, reducing the anxiety levels and helping to cope with daily stress in a peaceful manner.
Don’t Sleep too Late
Not getting enough quality sleep will slow down the daily repair process that your body cells need. Lack of consistent quality sleep will expose you to viruses. Sleeping for seven to eight hours is a must, as it will stimulate and strengthen the immune system.
